Here's the birthday girl in her safari hat. It was a simple copied pattern that we colored, cut-out, and measured around their heads with strips of cardstock.
I made safari log books out of a discounted 6-pack of spiral notebooks, scraps from my scrap box, and my new Stampin' Up Wild About You stamps:

Look! Rare clock-dwelling tigers ahead. Everyone sketches them (the little kids were really into that).
More wildlife...
We had simple cook-out food: hot dogs and hamburgers, fries, corn on the cob grilled, pineapple, cole slaw, and pina coladas to drink.
Then it was cake time! The birthday girl is thrilled. The pink cake is gorgeous - another custom creation from her auntie, Jenna.

I got these "retro" care bears from ebay...she's manic about the little care bear figures.
